Help
9 pages on bidding, buying, selling, delivery, condition and fees — written to answer the question rather than to describe the button.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The buyer fee is already in every figure on the site. Only lots sold in bond have duty and VAT to come, and they say so.
How do I know the wine is what it says?
Photographs of the label, the fill level and the capsule, a graded condition report, and the seller is not paid out until you confirm the wine arrived.
Who sends the bottle?
The seller does. Encave never takes possession of the wine, and never of your payment either — the seller's payout is simply held back until the handover is confirmed.
Bidding, paying, getting the wine to you, and what to do if it goes wrong.
Maximum bids, the increment ladder, reserves, and the two-minute rule that stops snipers.
What the total actually is, what protects you until the wine arrives, and when the seller gets paid.
Encave never takes possession of the bottle. Here is what that means for getting it to you.
How to read a fill level, what each grade means, and why “not assessed” is stated rather than hidden.
Wrong wine, broken bottle, silent seller — what to do, and in what order.
Listing a lot, photographing it honestly, and getting paid.
What you pay on top of the hammer, and when.

Anything about a specific lot or order is fastest in the order thread, where both sides and the full history are already in one place. The Terms set out what happens in the cases nothing here covers.
